The staff at the University Cancer Institute (UCI) is dedicated to the best possible care for our patients with cancer and disorders of the blood. In this era of technological advances and multiple chemotherapy and biological treatment options, we deliver the most up-to-date treatment in a personalized manner with an emphasis on achieving the best possible outcomes while minimizing adverse side effects. We believe that our close relationship with and constant monitoring of our patients allows us to tailor their treatment to maximize therapeutic effectiveness, longevity, and most importantly, quality of life. Our knowledgeable, compassionate, and talented staff focuses on delivering world-class care in a friendly, comfortable, and family-oriented environment

Our well-trained and highly qualified physicians admit and treat patients at several local hospitals including Bethesda Memorial Hospital (Boynton Beach), JFK Medical Center (Atlantis) and Delray Medical Center (Delray Beach). They are academically oriented and are actively involved in the teaching of residents in the Internal Medicine Residency training program at University of Miami (Palm Beach County campus) as well as the teaching of medical students at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (FAU campus). UCI is also an official affiliate of the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. We offer an extensive, and growing, array of research protocols for our patients eligible for clinical trials.

The staff at UCI always seeks to meet your needs in a timely manner. Consultations can typically be scheduled within 24 hours of notice and all visits in the office and hospital will be directly with our physicians.

Dr. Thomas Niederman established the University Cancer Institute in 2006 after having served as the head of the Division of Hematology-Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Florida (Weston). He serves as the Program Director for Hematology and Oncology training at the University of Miami / JFK Internal Medicine Residency training program. His staff shares his passion and enthusiasm in providing excellent care for our patients and their families.
